Depression and Self-Discovery
I’m a qualified therapist based in Canterbury, with a Master’s degree in Person-Centred Psychotherapy and Counselling from the University of Nottingham. My approach is calm, reflective and grounded in respect — I believe in creating a space where you feel free to speak openly, without fear of judgement. Alongside my core person-centred training, I use a blend of therapeutic tools tailored to each person’s needs.
I often work with people navigating depression, anxiety, trauma or feelings of being stuck. Many of my clients are thoughtful, inward-looking individuals who want to better understand themselves and find a way forward. My sessions offer space to explore difficult emotions, look at what’s shaped you, and start making sense of what you're carrying. This isn’t about forcing change — it’s about giving you the time, support and insight you need to grow in your own way.
Who I work with
I work with adults from all backgrounds who are ready to look a little deeper into what’s going on beneath the surface. Whether you’re going through something specific or just carrying a general sense that things aren’t right, I offer a space to slow down, reflect and make sense of your experience. The kinds of issues I most often support people with include:

-
Depression and low mood
-
General and social anxiety
-
Past trauma and difficult memories
-
Suicidal thoughts or emotional numbness
-
Relationship and family conflict
-
Low self-worth and inner criticism
-
Feeling stuck, lost or disconnected from yourself
-
Questions around meaning, identity or purpose
Many of the people I work with are thoughtful, sensitive individuals who have spent a long time trying to manage things on their own. Therapy with me isn’t about quick fixes. It’s about taking the time to understand how your past has shaped you, how your inner world works, and how to gently start creating something different. If you’re ready for that kind of work, I’d be glad to walk with you through it.
How I work
I offer both in-person therapy in Canterbury and online sessions, giving you the choice to work in whatever way feels most comfortable and accessible. My sessions are calm, focused and collaborative — you bring your experiences and your story, and I bring careful listening, therapeutic insight and respectful support. You’ll never be pushed or rushed, and I won’t tell you who you are or what you should do. Instead, I’ll work alongside you to help you explore what’s going on and how you want to move forward.

I’m trained in the Person-Centred approach, which means I trust in your ability to find the answers within yourself — given the right space, time and support. At the same time, I use an integrative model that allows us to draw on other techniques where helpful, depending on what feels right for you. Whether you need short-term support or long-term reflection, sessions are shaped around your goals and pace.
