Drew Heath
Relationships, Intimacy and Couples
I’m a counsellor based in Sturry, Canterbury, with over 10 years of experience working with adults and couples. I hold a Level 4 Diploma in Counselling and have worked in private practice, schools, the NHS, and online therapy platforms like Kooth. My style is practical and down-to-earth — I’m not here to just nod and listen, I’m here to help you figure things out and move forward. Therapy with me often includes strategies you can start using straight away, and a focus on building real change outside of the sessions.
Clients often come to me feeling stuck — in old patterns, low self-worth, or difficult relationships — and are looking for a way to break free. If that’s you, I’ll offer a space that’s honest, supportive and free from judgement. I’ll be alongside you in the work, offering challenge where needed, and encouragement all the way. This is a partnership — and you won’t be doing it alone.
Who I work with
I work with adults and couples who want to move past the things that are holding them back — especially when it comes to love, self-worth and relationships. These parts of life can lift us to incredible highs, but when they’re not working, they can leave us feeling stuck, confused or deeply alone. My clients are often thoughtful, capable people who are struggling inside — and just want to stop repeating the same painful patterns. Here are some of the things I can help with:

-
Low self-esteem and shame
-
Feeling like you're never good enough
-
Regret, guilt or baggage from the past
-
Relationship struggles — whether ongoing or left behind
-
Patterns you keep repeating but don’t understand
-
Habits or behaviours that feel out of control
-
Feeling like an outsider — disconnected or not quite belonging
-
Anxiety, overthinking and inner criticism
If any of that sounds familiar, you’re not alone — and you don’t have to face it alone. This work is for people who are ready to start changing things, even if they’re not sure how. You don’t need a diagnosis or a perfect plan — just the willingness to show up and take that first step. I’ll help you understand what’s going on beneath the surface, offer practical strategies you can use right away, and create a space where you feel safe enough to be honest and challenged enough to grow. This isn’t just talking — it’s about doing the work, together.
How I work
I offer both in-person sessions in Sturry, Canterbury, and online sessions for those who prefer to work remotely. My style is active, honest and focused — this isn’t just space to talk, it’s space to grow. I’ll meet you with warmth and empathy, but I also offer guidance, structure and practical tools that you can take into your everyday life. You’ll likely leave sessions with things to think about, reflect on, and sometimes tasks or strategies to try between sessions.

We’ll work at a pace that suits you — some clients see me weekly, others prefer bi-weekly or monthly check-ins. I also offer couples counselling, which lasts 100 minutes to allow for deeper work and clearer communication. Whether you're here to rebuild confidence, shift habits or repair a relationship, we’ll approach it as a partnership — your openness and effort, supported by my experience and insight.
